The Alumni Tree Project- RMHS Manila, is a non-stock, non-profit, SEC-registered entity whose primary purpose is to provide scholarships to under privileged but deserving students of Ramon Magsaysay High School(RMHS)- Manila, as well as institutionalize various projects and programs which fundamentally aim to improve the quality secondary education since its founding in 1952, comparable to the standards of established private schools in Metro Manila. The Alumni Tree Project was established by RMHS Alumni to provide support to the school and its students, so that they may continue to espouse the “Culture of Excellence”. To ensure the continuity of the initiatives of the Alumni Tree Project, which currently supports 51 (fifty one) scholars through financial assistance and an active mentoring program, it is now seeking partners and benefactors. We hope we can count on your financial support to help sustain the program and expand its coverage to benefit more unprivileged but deserving students.

 Our Vision

lahat1

We aim to make a difference in the lives of students and ensure the success of future generations. Our vision is embodied in our flagship program “Kinabukasan Mo.. Sagot Ko” aims to provide scholarships to promising students of RMHS belonging to the marginalized sector of society who are burdened by financial difficulty. We firmly believe that education is the great equalizer, as was proven many times over , with a significant number of alumni including the founders and organizers of the project, as living testaments of this social and economic transformation.

 Our History

logoThe Alumni Tree Project (ATP) was conceptualized by altruistic and highly committed alumni of Ramon Magsaysay High School (RMHS). This is their way of giving back to society, the school and students, what they have successfully reaped in their personal lives,in support of the culture of excellence that the school has consistently championed over the years. ATP started as a project spearheaded by a small group of RMHS graduates and later on adopted as a program by the RMHS Alumni Association in 2009. To ensure continuity, good governance and establish a permanent ATP’s vision, the “Alumni Tree Project-RMHS, Manila, Inc.” a non-stock, non-profit SEC and BIR registered charitable organization was incorporated in 2010.

Our Program

zVUgAxmOur “Kinabukasan Mo ,..Sagot Ko” scholarship program provides financial assistance to qualified high school students in the form of an allowance of P2,500 at the start of the school year to defray the cost of uniform and school supplies, and a monthly stipend of P500 per high school scholar, for a total of P7,500 per year. The program has been recently expanded to include scholars entering college who will be entitled to receive a similar monthly stipend of P10,000 per year. We have also entered in strategic partnerships with corporate and school benefactors who provide tuition fee assistance to scholars who have been admitted to private colleges and universities. The program is open to all RMHS students who belong to the marginalized sector of society. They will also have to exhibit leadership qualities and civic consciousness, excel in both academic and extra-curricular activities, and maintain a grade point average of at least 85%. Aside from receiving financial assistance , the scholars also undergo one-on-one counseling sessions with identified mentors from the school and from the ATP officers and members. Career talks, personality development programs, communication skills workshops and other socio-civic events are also arranged to ensure their holistic development and foster social , scientific and environmental awareness. They also do their part in sharing their blessing and talent through the Big Brother, Big Sister Tutoring Program where the older students help the younger ones, both within and outside the program, with their assignments and test reviewers. The progress of the scholars and their development requirements periodically monitored by the guidance counselor who serves as the ATP’s primary day-to-day contact with the scholars.
